INDIVIDUAL FITNESS PROGRAMS

Our Services

Elite Medical Exercise is Austin’s leading medical exercise specialist for clients who want to live life without limitations. We specialize in a prescriptive approach to fitness offering custom exercise programs for adults, as well as individuals dealing with joint restrictions, looking to reduce pain, increase range of motion, while adding stability and strength.

Our Clients

Many clients, from athletes to seniors, begin their Elite Medical Exercise journey when they’ve completed their physical therapy following a medical procedure. We work as an extension of the medical care team to help continue the recovery process. We also work one-on-one with personal training clients, as well as with semi-private and group clients. Each exercise program is customized for the individual needs of the client.

Complimentary Initial Consultation

We offer an initial complimentary, personal consultation to help guide you in the best direction to accomplish your goals. The consultation is our opportunity to listen and learn about your goals, discuss your health history, exercise history, and of course, to get to know you. We determine together the ideal approach to work toward your optimum outcome.

After our conversation, we will make recommendations to help you accomplish your goals. This initial consultation is a no strings attached, one-on-one conversation where we listen to your goals, discuss the Elite Medical Exercise approach, and together determine if we are a fit.

It’s helpful to know what we are not. We are not a one-size-fits all, volume membership model. Elite Medical Exercise is proud to be a true partner with our clients, along with our extensive network of health and medical professionals, who together, work as a team to achieve the best long-term results possible.

The consultation is the beginning of a long-lasting relationship. Elite Medical Exercise clients average 4-to-15 years.

Functional Range Assessment

Once the consultation is done and we begin our work together, the next step in our program is to assess and not guess. Our Medical Exercise Assessment is a 1 hour and 15 minute evaluation that examines every joint in the body, your functional movement patterns, as well as your balance.

When looking at your joints we assess and measure the passive and active range of motion, which allows us to gauge the amount of space and control you have in each joint.

These evaluations will highlight the joints that need some extra attention and call attention to the areas of focus we will build upon to have better-performing joints. Based on the assessment results, we create a plan together to prioritize your body's needs.

We begin the Elite Medical Exercise journey with direction and a road map for you to achieve your goals. This is the first step for you toward your life without limitations!

Functional Range Conditioning

Elite Medical Exercise offers functional range conditioning. The Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) System was developed by movement specialist Dr. Andreo Spina. The FRC method is a precise system based on scientific principles and research that focuses on joint health and mobility training. The FRC method is a system that EMX uses to assess instability in the joint by evaluating the complete range of motion, strength, and control within the joints. This method allows our EMX specialists to help you increase joint stability and strength, decrease pain, and improve overall joint function.

One of the primary distinctions of FRC is the distinction between Flexibility and Mobility. This is important to decipher because they are not interchangeable:

Flexibility is the ability to passively achieve an extended range of motion.

Mobility is the ability to control ranges of motion. This definition of mobility is what Functional Range Conditioning is all about.

With FRC we are focusing on expanding our articular ranges of motion, while also teaching the central nervous system how to control these ranges of motion. FRC allows us to induce progressive adaptations for tissue preparation safely.
