Client Spotlight: Carrie's Story!

ree

Being a mother of three, working full-time, and finding time to prioritize your own health is already a challenge—then add surgery and months of recovery on top of that. Carrie recently underwent her second knee replacement,

and she is a great example of someone who absolutely rocked it.

Her first experience wasn’t ideal for many reasons, and naturally, she felt anxious about going through it again. But this time was different. With the support of her family and the dedication she put into prehab training before surgery, the results have been remarkable.

After her first knee replacement, Carrie struggled with severe pain, limited range of motion, and was unable to lift her leg for months. This time, just days after surgery, she was up and walking—and her knee flexion and extension are already exceeding what she achieved with her first one. Improving knee flexion and extension early in the rehabilitation process is critical for the healing process, restoring function in daily activities, and achieving comfort in everyday positions.

That’s not to say recovery has been easy, but Carrie’s commitment to preparation and consistency has made all the difference. Her hard work, trust in the process, and positive mindset are paying off.

With her goal of backpacking with her family this August, Carrie is well on her way to living life without limitations. We couldn’t be prouder to celebrate her strength, perseverance, and progress.
